District Designated Fund
Rotary clubs contribute generously each year to the Foundation.
At the end of each Rotary year RI credits an amount equivalent to
50% of the contribution made for the year ended 3 years earlier, to
each District.
This is called the District Designated Fund, [DDF]
and Districts use these funds for various projects, the most popular
being to finance a second GSE outgoing team and Matching Grant
support to clubs.
DDF not used at the end of a
Rotary year is carried forward to the following year.
Clubs are
encouraged to enquire and request for this support via a Matched
Grant from the Foundation as this facility would not be possible
without their contributions. The return on their funding for a
project is compounded handsomely.
