All the information you need for recruiting or hosting exchange
students can be found in the
Letter to Clubs with info 2006. Youth Directors are asked
familiarize themselves with the contents of this document.
Please note:
Clubs should get potential exchange students to fill in the
Initial Application Form (same
form for both Long Term and STEP) as a
basis for a club interview.
ONLY IF the club feels that the student
should be forwarded on to District Selection should they be asked to
complete an official application form (RI forms
761-EN for Long Term and
763-EN for STEP). These forms require photographs, medical
examinations, etc. and there is little point making a student go
through this process unless a club feels that they stand a chance of
being selected for Youth Exchange at District level.
Parents should
sign the
Memo of Agreement (Long Term Exchange) or
Memo of Agreement (STEP) to accompany the official
application form to the District Committee.
