District Governor Nominee for 2010/11

Richard and Lesley Seymour, have been married for 29 years, they have 2
daughters, Ashleigh, 22, and Mandy 18. Ashleigh is a member of the
newest Rotary Club in the district, namely East London Sunrise, and
Mandy is studying forensic psychology.
Richard worked for Transnet for 28 years, doing Mechanical Engineering,
Marketing Management and Logistics, has since moved out of Transnet,
owned a service station for 6 years, was instrumental in the opening of
a Substance abuse centre, in East London, and currently owns a factory,
producing cement products.
Lesley began working in the insurance industry 31 years ago, in East
London, and is currently a major share owner of Border insurance
Brokers, the largest independent short term insurance brokerage, in the
Eastern Cape.
Richard is passionate about “spreading the word” about the destructive
nature of substance abuse, loves rugby, boxing, riding his Harley
Davidson and most of all, his family, immediate, and peripheral.
Lesley loves her family to bits, as well as her 4 dogs, 6 cats and 4
birds, including all of Gods creatures. Lesley is a staunch Catholic, as
is her family.
They both love their garden, Richard likes looking at it, and Lesley
loves working in it.
Richard is a past President of the Rotary Club of Bonza Bay, which he
has been a member of for 11 years, and is currently serving a 3rd year
as an Assistant Governor.
They both embrace the opportunity to serve, and appreciate the fact that
they can.
